VISION PowerNet is a GIS tool for Electrical Network and Consumer Management.
The base Engine for VISION PowerNet is the VISION MapMaker Professional GIS API.
The GIS API provides all regular GIS features. In addition to comprehensive GIS
features, capabilities to manage electrical networks and assets in an intelligent
manner are available.
VISION PowerNet facilitates linking information from Substation to Distribution Network (Electric and Feeder Poles) initially. Then, from Distribution Network, linking information reaches Transformers and finally to individual consumers.
Some of the key features of the product are
Distribution network mapped on raster/vector maps
Fault diagnosis and tracking of fault location and affected consumers
Consumer complaint management
Revenue monitoring and loss estimation based on generation and revenue collection
VISION PowerNet integrates Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) and
Remote Energy Audit devices and provides a spatial view of distribution, collections,
losses and priority segments.
Key Features:
Electrical Asset and Consumer Data Management
Some of the powerful and user-friendly features that VISION PowerNet
provided for electrical network management are listed below:
a. Asset locations
b. Asset identification
c. Asset information and associated linked elements
d. Powerful search features
Search by name/ID
Search by location proximity
Search by connectivity
Search by attributes
Search by maintenance schedule
e. Consumer locations and information management
f. Consumer search features
Search by name/ID
Search by location proximity
Search by connectivity
Trace the network
Search by attributes (for e.g., Door No., Telephone number, Meter type, phase, colony, rated capacity)
g. New connection applications management
h. Status of applications
i. Compute distance of new connection location from nearest pole/transformer and highlight the asset
j. Show alternate source of supply points and their distances
k. Load management - Quickly identify transformers/poles capable of taking new connection load
l. Computation of costs for new connection based on material requirement (Poles/Transformers/Cable)
VISION PowerNet has powerful analysis and reporting features and its simple and modular
interface makes it a convenient tool for any electrical power generation and distribution company
